Cookies & browser storage
Shortwaits uses cookies to keep you signed in and browser storage to remember preferences you choose. We do not currently use advertising or analytics trackers on this website, so there is no optional tracking to accept or reject.
Sign-in cookies
When you sign in, Shortwaits stores separate business and customer session cookies (sw_at_business, sw_rt_business, sw_meta_business and their _customers equivalents). Older sessions may use sw_at, sw_rt and sw_meta. These cookies support authentication and account access, are not available to browser scripts, and expire after 30 days unless renewed or removed when you sign out.
Preferences you choose
NEXT_LOCALE remembers a language you select for up to one year. Local storage remembers your selected appearance and text size (sw-theme-mode, sw-text-size and MUI mode/color-scheme settings). Dismissing an app-download banner stores a timestamp (sw-app-banner-dismissed or sw-app-banner-portal-dismissed) so it stays hidden for 14 days. Local-storage entries remain on your device until cleared; an expired banner timestamp is no longer used to hide the banner.
External services
Maps are links, not embedded Google Maps. We do not load a Google Maps frame when you view a business or booking page. If you choose a map, social or other external link, that provider's privacy and cookie practices apply on its website. Business photos may also be delivered from external image hosts.
Your choices
You can sign out to remove your session cookies, change language or appearance in the site controls, or clear cookies and local storage in your browser. Blocking sign-in cookies can prevent account access. No cookie acceptance is required to browse. If optional analytics or advertising are introduced, this notice and the relevant consent or opt-out controls must be updated before they are enabled.
